Portal GIS

Services
A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system used to create, store, analyze, and process spatially distributed information using the portalGIS application. Geospatial information can be integrated with RENNS, the agricultural registry, taxes and fees, urban planning, social assistance, civil status, emergency services, and heritage delimitation.

GIS Portal – use of geospatial data

The operating principle of the GIS application: a single map that can be used by all municipal employees as well as by all interested parties, on which operational layers and department-specific layers for Urban Planning and Heritage are overlaid.

The GIS application, along with its associated database, allows querying any geographic element displayed on the map and provides a solid foundation for extracting information for the purpose of issuing: site plans, topographic surveys – vectorizations, requests for urbanism certificates, requests for construction permits, and notifications.

Integration

Geospatial information can be integrated with RENNS, the agricultural registry, taxes and fees, urban planning, social assistance, civil status, emergency services, and heritage delimitation.

Database

PortalGIS is the application that allows online visualization of integrated geographic databases. The GIS database is capable of spatially organizing all types of data, resulting in their integration into a single map.

Geospatial data

It represents the totality of geospatial elements composed of layers of geographic information, thematic layers with data related to technical and public utility networks: cadastral parcels, street networks, green spaces, heritage boundaries, and administrative territorial limits.

Data visualization

Access to the visualization of layers over a specific area in digital format: urban and non-urban boundaries, watercourses, properties and constructions existing in the ANCPI Eterra system, land registries (CFs), properties, networks, and vectorized constructions.

The GIS Portal is a web-based application built using Microsoft technology resources.

General functionalities in the application:

  • GIS-specific toolbar: zoom, pan, select element, add point, create line, create polygon, draw regular shape, move object, cut shape, offset, copy, save, undo last command, print, tool tip on active layer.

  • Search by name, coordinates, address, land registry number

  • Map printing functionalities

  • Legend for objects displayed on the map

  • Display alphanumeric information on the map by clicking on the selected object

  • Possibility of automatic integration and overlay with geospatial data available in various formats

  • Import geospatial data in different formats, including GeoJSON

  • Import from eTerra: active buildings, active lands, UAT boundaries

  • Vector files in standard GIS formats, ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo TAB, and raster files in standard TIF, TFW formats for online services

  • Public portal access without a password (24/7)

  • Use of General Urban Plan (PUG) and Land Use Regulation (RLU) for a site of interest

The integrated IT solution we propose for implementation will ensure full functionality regarding traceability of activities within services, both for internal workflows and public services.
